The HeartStart HS1 Defibrillator has been designed for use by anyone, at any time
and at any location. The unit offers users the confidence that a life can be saved
even before help arrives.
The HS1 is proven to be fast to learn, easy to operate and always ready. Calming,
natural voice instructions guide the user through the steps of first aid defibrillation
and CPR.
The HeartStart HS1 undertakes comprehensive automated self-tests to check all the
unit's vital operating functions on a daily, weekly and monthly schedule, indicating
any faults that require attention.
The pad cartridge contains two adhesive pads that are placed on the patient's bare
skin in the locations indicated on the pads themselves. The smart pads monitor their
location and voice prompts are adapted at each stage of the process.
The long-life, 9V lithium manganese dioxide primary cells are capable of delivering
200 shocks, or 4 hours of operation. The unit adjusts the shock level dependent
on the pads utilised (adult or infant/child).
